Alba Botanica

Finding the perfect skincare products that are suitable for your needs isn't an easy feat and even up till now, I am still constantly on the lookout to add products into my holy grail collection.
However, I particularly enjoying applying plant-based or fruit based products that are made from natural sources like witch hazel toner, pure aloe vera gel, coconut oil, raw sugar to treat my skin. It definitely does an excellent job at calming my face as well as hydrating it naturally.
I was also lucky enough to be one of the first few to try out Alba Botanica skincare products in Singapore. When my blog manager first told me about trying out this new skincare product I decided to google it before I agreed on trying out and I was sold.
Why was I sold?
Because, Alba Botanica products are made with 100% vegetarian ingredients and contains vitamins, plant emollients and botanicals.

I knew my skin would not have a negative effect from using the products because they were made from natural sources that doesn't contain parabens, artificial colors and all that harsh chemicals.
I was really excited to get my hands on them and try it for myself!

So here we have the Alba Botanica's Pore-refining Natural Skincare Range.
Visible pores, blackheads and all those dirty little problems are hard to hide, especially when I'm fair and love to take selfies because it will definitely stand out. I know that many ladies use pore primers before they apply their foundation to cover up the visible pores but that is really bad for the skin. I really dislike using primers because they usually contain some kind of silicon-like ingredient to fill up the holes to give you that smooth finish and it is not easy to remove them entirely when you cleanse your face. So instead of piling on the makeup, why not adopt a fresh, clean facial routine that will keep the skin clear and pores minimized?

Infused with exfoliating Hawaiian fruit enzymes and extracts, each facial product helps loosen, dissolve and keep pores clear of dirt. And the moisturizers will maintain the suppleness of the skin by keeping it hydrated and smooth. This way, it keeps your skin radiant, poreless and moisturized all at once.
Let's take a look at the full skincare range of Alba Botanica Hawaiian Facial Care Range:
The 1st product that I'm going to share with you is the Pore Purifying Pineapple Enzyme Facial Cleanser.
Retailing at S$16.90.
It smells soooo good.
I'm not kidding when I say I really can smell the pineapple in there and it is not just some fake fragrance that they added into the product!
This cleanser has been highly raved by many who have oily, acne prone skin out there and I find myself enjoying it too. Just 1 full pump is all I need and the product lathers up very well and my skin just feels so fresh after using it.
Moving on to the Complexion Balancing Hibiscus Toner..
Retailing at S$14.90.
I usually pour about 4 drops of this on a cotton pad..
& swipe it all over my face in an outward motion.
It smells divine, again, I think ALL of the products from Alba Botanica smells amazing. And it really does the job of minimizing the pores. Leftover makeup/dirt that wasn't removed properly could also be seen on the cotton pad so that's a huge plus.
The Refining Aloe & Green Tea Oil Free Moisturizer is what I'll use after applying toner.
Retailing at S$24.90.
The aloe & green tea moisturizer is really da bomb for my dehydrated skin. It feels thick in texture when you first scoop it from the jar but when you apply it onto the skin, it goes on really smoothly and I'm really amazed at the speed my skin absorbs it all in. It doesn't clog your skin and leaves it feeling really supple.
I wear this both in the day time under my makeup as well as night time before I go to bed and after 3 weeks, I'm not even halfway through the jar.
A little does goes a long way with this and I think it is one of my favorite from this entire skincare range!!
Next we have the Pore-Fecting Papaya Enzyme Mask.
Retailing at S$18.90.

I am loving facial masks lately because of my skin issues, tiny bumps, redness as well as extreme dryness. Using masks really soothes my skin and gives it extra pampering and loving on top of my daily skincare routine.
This mask is really gentle in exfoliating and doesn't cause my skin to feel sensitive at all after rinsing off. My skin has this glowing effect after and don't get me started on the smell. It smells like a tropical smoothie!!
With just 5 minutes to spare, I can see myself using this mask more than twice a week! It aims to loosen, dissolve and purify skin.

Lastly, we have the Pore-Fecting Pineapple Enzyme Facial Scrub.
Retailing at S$14.90.

This scrub is definitely not as gentle as the previous mask so if you do have sensitive skin, you may want to use really light hand on this and maybe try it just once a week for a start. The bits you get is not as big as the ones I've used before so this is pretty safe for people who don't wish to use a scrub that is too abrasive on the skin.

Here is an upclose of the scrub.
So when your skin is in need of a deep cleanse, you'll know what to do!

On a whole, I'm really impressed with the Alba Botanica skincare products because not only are they very affordable, some of the items delivers similar, if not better, results that some of my high end skincare brands.
I definitely see myself repurchasing some of the products from the Alba Botanica Hawaiian range.
