Lancome L'absolu Rouge

Lipsticks are a must-have in my bag, and I usually have 3-4 different lip colours with me each time I’m out because I like changing my lip shades according to my mood. If I’m feeling a little tired, a brighter lip colour will always perk me right up and if I’m rocking stronger eye makeup, I’ll tone down the lips to balance the look out. That’s the thing that I love about makeup, you can create a look to suit your everyday mood.

Today I’ll like to share with you - Lancome’s L’Absolu Rouge lipstick range because I can always rely on these lipsticks to fit any look I’m going for.

First, can we talk about the beautiful packaging of this lipstick? The black and gold combination is so classy and with a click-release (just push down the golden rose) it makes opening and closing the lipstick much quicker.

There are 39 colours in the L’absolu Rouge range and they come in 3 different finishes,
- Sheer
- Cream
- Matte

Here’s a swatch of the colors on my arm.
317 - Pourqoi Pas? (Sheer finish)
368 –Rose (Cream finish)
290 – Poeme (Matte finish)

I have to say, I’m really impressed with these lipsticks because all I needed was 1 swipe of the lipstick to get these colors & they apply true to color.

3 different shades of pink in 3 different finishes let me show you how I create the following looks based on these.

The color over here is 317 - Pourqoi Pas? in Sheer finish.

I paired the Sheer finish lipstick with a sweet & feminine floral dress.

The Sheer finish lip colour feels really light on my lips and I don’t even need a mirror to reapply or touch up the lipstick. It is a lipstick that I will grab when I’m in a rush and have no time to apply my lipstick to precision. Because of the sheer finish, it is more forgiving if you don’t apply within the lip line and it gives you a little more than a hint of colour to your lips.

Next up is the 368 – Rose Lancome, in Cream finish.

This cream finish lip colour is really bold and vibrant, just look at that pigmentation and shine on my lips. I swear I did not apply any lipgloss over it. I decided to glam up my outfit for this cream finish and it was the right choice because it really goes very well with the look I had in mind. I feel confident and I think I just found my perfect bright pink lipstick.

& lastly, is 290 – Poeme, in Matte finish.

For the final look, I paired the Matte finish with a more edgy look where the focus was on my smokey eyes and I needed a muted lip to balance out the look. & this lip color did just that, it gave a dusty rose color to my lips and best of all, I got a matte lip without having to deal with the dryness of what a matte liquid lipstick would have. Even though it is in a matte formula, the lipstick application was easy and glided on my lips smoothly, there was no tugging at my lips as compared to other brands of matte lipstick that I’ve tried.

So, which of these finishes do you like best?

For me, I would pick Sheer for a causal day out, Cream for an evening date and Matte when I want to have more pigmentation on the lips but not too loud.

The Lancome L’absolu Rouge range lipsticks are infused with moisture-boosting Pro-Xlyane that keeps lips moist, soft and comfortable for 8 hours. So there’s no need to worry about patchiness on your lips or even flakiness throughout the day, it is seriously hydrating. There’s also Vitamin E that is rich in antioxidant that helps to keep your lips healthier against environmental aggressors. & I love the variety of lip colors in the range as there are endless possibilities with the 39 different shades.

You need to try one for yourself, and you’ll fall in love with them as much as I do.

Highlight + Ninja Bowl + Tsuta Ramen

This is really the year of highlights.

I got addicted to them from like, mid last year? And I had a humble amount of highlighters at that time..
This pic was posted June 2016, so I guess I started collecting them maybe at the start of 2016? No idea.

My very first favorite highlight will forever and always be - Laura Mercier's Matte Radiance Baked Powder Highlight. It suits almost all skin tones and its the kinda highlight that you can't go wrong with or put too much of. Beginners, this one is for you😉

It was my 1st high end highlight and till now, I'm still using the same one even though I have another back up in my makeup drawer.
& this above pic was posted in October 2016, just 4 months after the 1st picture, & look at how it double. No, tripled 😂

I think within that 4 months I must have been on a highlight shopping craze & started carting out highlights nonstop.

🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm intending to do an updated highlight collection but, I seem to always be waiting for the next best highlight to be added in to my collection before I post it. So, I've been delaying it for awhile.

Here's the next highlights that I have my eyes on..
Needles to say, the Too Faced highlights 😍

I'll probably be only getting 1 shade, the lightest one. Cause it's my kinda color.

It's said to launch in April so I'm patiently waiting...

#dayrebeauty #dayremakeup
Anastasia Beverly Hill's Aurora Palette. Which I'm still sitting on the fence about cause..

I already own their Moonchid palette and I'll be receiving the Nicole G. palette soon too.

So, do I really need this?

And, I think the next one is a perfect dupe for it..
BH Cosmetics Backlight Highlight palette which is so adorable! And when I say it's a dupe, I'm not saying they copied ABH aurora palette cause, BH Cosmetics launched theirs first!

See how similar some of the shades are? So I'll definitely rather be spending my $ on this instead.

Yep, so far these are the highlights I'm intending to get..

Omg, these brands needs to stop releasing so many new highlights. I cannot resists....

Moving on to food...
Finally tried Ninja Bowl with my girls last week!

I ordered the.. Sakura something. Which was the grilled salmon bowl.

& sadly, it fared lower than my expectations. Maybe it was the lack of avocados 😂 I love having my grilled salmon (which was a tad too dry) with avocados and this just felt very sour and dry? The sourness was from the salad sauce which I have no idea what it is and the pickled cucumbers. Even though I was excited about the onsen egg, it didn't go well with the whole bowl.
We ordered these for starters and I like them better than the bowls 😂

Cauli Pops which is fried cauliflowers served with a side of Siracha mayo dip. Omg I love the dip. Damn good.

And shoestring Truffle fries!

Maybe I ordered the wrong bowl at Ninja bowl.

Will I return again?

I don't mind!

But the next time round I'll order the Salmon Poke bowl instead of grilled salmon.

My friend who tried their steak said it was very good! So if you love beef.. you should try it out!
What I wore that day.

Top - Zara
Skirt - GU at Japan
Shoes - Adidas
Bag - Zara
Pom Pom earring - Bangkok
With Juan & Adels!

Megan was in the restroom, 😂

#dayrefoodie #dayrefatties
My favorite healthy bowl is definitely Pimp My Salad from Suntec's Pasarbella! I used to eat it all the time for lunch as my office was located just opposite Suntec. But now that I've shifted office, I can't eat it so often anymore 😭

Love love love the guacamole & the salmon & the roasted pumpkin there.

I've yet to try similar food like Grain Traders! But both places are a little out of the way for me, not far but.. out of the way. Haha. So maybe next time.

I also wanna to try Aloha Poke!😍
My dinner for 1 last night cause SX had work so I settled dinner before going home. Love this from Makisan too! I created my own salad which consisted of...

- 2 servings of salmon sashimi
- tofu
- edamame
- avocado
- cucumber
- cherry tomato
- tuna
& for sauce, I picked Ponzu which I really like!

I'm not on a diet anymore but I still find myself picking healthier food choices when I'm dining alone. When I'm out with friends or SX, I just eat whatever everyone wants so that balances it out
Was invited to try out Tsuta Ramen at the new Taiseng outlet.

Thanks @jaynetham 😘

& as you can see, they serve 2 types of ramen there.

The Shoyu with truffle oil soup base and the Miso soup base.

If you have a heavier taste bud, you should try the Miso base and if you're like me, prefer a lighter broth, pick the Shoyu with Truffle oil!
Both SX and I ordered the Shoyu + Truffle oil ramen!
We got the ramen with all toppings!

I love the broth so much that I almost drank it all. The Truffle oil makes it so fragrant! Not too strong, just a hint of truffle with each mouthful. 😍

I miss it already!
Shiok!

The noodle texture also very different from the usual ramen!
All the happy tummies after 😍
Craving for Poke bowl, so I'm having this for dinner right now!

Teppei syokudo that I bought from Ion basement and brought to Salon Vim to eat while I'm doing my hair.

So goooooddddd😍😍😍

Beauty Review: Laneige

Was so close to buying this Becca Soft light blurring powder.

It claims to give you the Snapchat blur filter effect on your skin. And it is meant as the last step in your makeup routine.

It will not rub away your highlight or blush as a YouTuber reviewed but I don't like the fact that it comes in only 1 shade and it seems to me that I maybe slightly dark for me.

I'm hoping it really works but I saw another youtuber say it sucks. 🤷🏻‍♀️

So I'm sitting on the fence for this..
It cost $58 on Sephora website and I don't want to spend $58 on something until I'm sure it's good.

So.. shall wait a little longer and let more people test it out first. Hehe.

Any of you tried it yet?
Received these from Laneige and I finally tried them out.

Really liking both the mascara and lip tints!
These are the colors and so far I've worn Urban Coral and Marilyn Red out.
Urban coral is a really pretty shade that makes your lips looks like you've just had an ice popsicle.
It is very hydrating for the lips but bear in mind that touch ups are needed after each meal though. Cause they tend to slip and get eaten away pretty easily.

I don't mind that I have to touch it up regularly though. Cause it just takes 3 secs.

Apply the product on my lips and just press my lips together & rub them to get the color evenly distributed.
This is me wearing Marilyn Red and the Mascara!!

See how long my lower lashes are. 😍😍

I love how it separates each lash and lengths it without clumping up. I hate having clumpy lashes, I think it looks very "dirty" LOL.
Top down view of my lashes using the Laneige Mascara. 😍

Really does a great job at lengthening it!! Curling wise it isn't one that gives it a dramatic curl but that's easily achieved by a eyelash curler. But lengthening wise.. it is damn amazing.

I love how neat and long the lashes are!
Also received this Brow cushion by Laneige.

Seems so cool!
But I haven't found time to try it out yet.

I imagine it to be very soft and natural looking.. like how the Koreans always do their brows.

I'll probably try it this week! And share my experience if I do. 😘
Anyway, right now on Lazada, there's a 20% discount off the Serum Drop Tints with the lucky chouette design..

The one that I've shared about is their new packaging which will also be launched on Lazada soon..

Olay Regenerist Miracel Duo

After blowing out the 25 candles on my birthday cake, I dread each following birthday because that means I’m growing older and getting closer to my 30s! *Gasps* How did time fly by so fast?

I’m turning 29 this year, which means, I’m hanging on to my twenties on a thin thread. I’m sure I’m not the only one who is worried sick about growing old because many of my female friends out there would groan and moan whenever we talk about the physical changes we experience as we age. It is inevitable that everyone ages but I guess everyone would like to slow down the process as much as we can and age as gracefully as we can too.

I’ve noticed myself trying to get on a healthier lifestyle as I grow older because I’m more aware of the benefits it can do for my body, physically and emotionally.

Here are some personal tips I would like to share with you on how I try to keep a balanced and healthy lifestyle:

- Stay hydrated
This is a no-brainer and I can’t stress enough the importance of drinking at least 2L of water a day.

- Get at least 6-7 hours of sleep a day
This is something that I’m still working hard on but having sufficient rest is really improves my skin condition.

- Exfoliate at 1-2x a week
I always look forward to this because I just like the idea that I’m removing dead skin cells off my face and it prevents clogging of pores and formation of pimples.

- Sunscreen, always.
I also learned to never step out of the house sans sunscreen! Harmful UV rays are one of the biggest culprits for skin aging so, remember to always have your sunscreen on.

- Proper skincare routine every morning and night
Ever since I was in my early twenties, I already started using skincare products religiously and now that I’m older, I’m even more strict with what I put on my face and there’ll never be a day I would go to bed without my moisturizer on.

- Olay Regenerist Miracle Duo
I’ve been trying out these 2 new products from Olay for 3 weeks now and I noticed my skin “transforming” before my eyes. My skin felt firmer and there were less visible fine laugh lines under my eyes, which usually require cosmetic procedures like fillers injections to plump up the skin. I was really impressed that a pocket-friendly product was able to make such a difference to my skin as Olay Regenerist works from within to plump the surface cells for a visible effect.

The Olay Miracle Duo - Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence and Micro-Sculpting Cream Moisturiser is a powerful anti-aging pair when used together every morning and night. These two items are what’s in my weekend sleepover bag whenever I go over to my fiance’s place to spend the night.

After cleansing my face, I’ll run a cotton pad that’s drenched with toner over my face before applying the Olay Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence.

This pre-essence is designed to boost the penetration of anti-aging actives of the moisturizer and also boosting cell renewal which makes achieving a youthful looking skin that much easier. From the very first drop, it promises firming of skin and reduction of fine lines, wrinkles and pores. A breakthrough in skin cell renewal, I would say!

The pre-essence is very lightweight and it gets absorbed into the skin within seconds which means I can move on to my next step (moisturizer) really quickly and that’s a huge plus for every busy working adult, like me.

I love the unique auto-dropper packaging because with just 1 click, it ensures that the right amount of pre-essence is delivered for every application I need.

The next step in my skincare routine would be to apply a moisturizer, and I’m using the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream after the Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence.

Even though the moisturizer is in a cream form, it does not feel heavy on my skin at all. It is very hydrating and is able to keep my face feeling moisturized throughout the day. The Micro-sculpting cream helps to renew skin’s surface layers for smooth texture and refined pores. It also gently exfoliates the skin which helps minimize clogged pores and prevent blemishes or pimples. It has visibly benefitted me by plumping and firming my skin because I find my under eye area having lesser fine lines.

The Olay Regenerist Micro-sculpting cream also works great under makeup because when my skin is hydrated and supple, my makeup product just glides on so smoothly onto my skin.

Another tip to share, don’t forget to apply your moisturizers onto your neck too! Someone once told me that a lady’s age is most easily revealed by the skin condition of her neck and fingers, so remember to not neglect your neck.

The powerful combination of Miracle Boost Pre-essence and Olay’s most advanced Micro-sculpting Cream work together to boost renewal of surface cells and provide 2x more anti-aging active penetration into skin.

And the result?

A stunning, youthful skin that is proven to look 10 years younger.
It is no wonder they are called the Miracle Duo!

It is never too early to start on anti-aging skincare, it is always better to start ahead while you can and not when it is too late.
So if you are in your twenties do try out Miracle Duo out and see the wonders it can do.

You can now buy them in Watsons and Guardian stores from 1st November 2016! Or buy it online at Lazada (link given below). For November, there is a 30% discount for Micro-sculpting Cream if you buy on Lazada!
